Today the sun returned to Lyme (actually it’s been here all weekend) and the TRG was bathed in summery weather. It probably won’t last!!
18 of you joined me for today’s bounce around the hills of Lyme and it was very pleasant indeed. A reasonable breeze kept everyone fresh, without blowing us off the tops of anywhere.
We started with the usual millpond warm-up before heading off up the hill from the car park and into Knightslow Wood. From the main path we dropped down into Calves Croft and onto Lime Avenue.
We approached the Hall and then took the right path towards and into Turf House Meadow and then up to the gate below the Lantern. A hill for us to run up!
From the Lantern we rejoined the path and enjoyed the downhill section on Caters Slack before returning for refreshments in the sun at the Timber Yard cafe.
