Tuesday Run Group TRG-140217

Well it might have been Valentine’s Day, but the chocolates and bubbly were firmly on ice whilst 18 members of the group chose to come and run around Lyme Park with me!

It was a touch chilly this morning so there wasn’t much hanging about. And whilst the sun looked like it might break the the clouds it certainly kept us guessing for long enough.

We’ve visited the Cage a lot of late so I thought we’d see if the rest of the Park was still there this week.

Just half a lap around the millpond this morning before heading up the hill towards Knightslow Wood (the start of the ParkRun route if you know that).

On reaching the the gate to the Moor, we turned right and headed up and along the path towards Cluse Hey rocks. Unlike some of the paths this was quite springy under foot and pleasant to run on. However as we got towards the Rocks and dropped down towards the Brook, it was a little slippy under foot. That said everyone got down safely in their own time.

We continued up the other side and along the trail to another slippy downhill section to West Park Drive. But at least we were on terra firma at this point and it was a steady jog back towards the Knott.

Then it was around the Knott and back to the cafe.
