Another decent day for running around Lyme Park!
17 runners joined me today and the term used today was very much “herding cats”!!
The group spread out quite a bit very early on and in a series of taking wrong turns, following other runners and generally going in the wrong direction I don’t think there were many of the 1400 acres of the Park left untouched by Lyme Runners today!!!
We did a proper warm-up lap of the millpond before going around it again, mostly because I was at the back of the group and had to chase the front-runners down!
We headed off following the ‘blue route’ which takes a left off the main drive parallel to Drinkwater Meadow. The lower path in Hase Bank Wood was quite muddy in places, probably due in part to the number of reps of it that I did today collecting runners!
I caught the leaders up at the gate below Paddock Cottage and sent them off along Cluse Hey and taking a right into Knightslow while I went to round up a few more runners.
More herding later (and a photo opportunity) and everyone was somewhere in Knightslow Wood! We all convened at the gate into Drinkwater Meadow before heading down to the car park (with a bit of looping).
